Vicario Nocino Walnut Liqueur
Vicario Nocino is a handcrafted walnut liqueur made in Greer, South Carolina. Inspired by Italian tradition, it’s produced using unripe green walnuts harvested in June from top orchards in Italy. The walnuts are macerated for 18 months in a neutral, non-GMO wheat spirit, then blended with carefully chosen herbs and spices to create a rich and layered expression.
The liqueur pours a deep, inky brown and opens with savory, herbaceous aromas. On the palate, it delivers bold walnut flavor balanced by notes of vanilla, butterscotch, nutmeg, clove, and allspice. A touch of cola and amaro-like bitterness rounds out the profile, while the finish is mouthwatering, warm, and gently spiced.
Traditionally enjoyed as a digestif in Modena, Italy, Nocino can be sipped neat after a meal, drizzled over ice cream, or mixed into classic cocktails like Old Fashioneds, Manhattans, and Juleps.
