The 2023 wine year will go down in history as one of the fastest harvests on record. Capricious weather brought extreme drought, which was followed by weeks of heavy rainfall that culminated in an extremely warm late summer. With September temperatures of up to 30 degrees, the grapes were collected in the cool night and morning hours so that the must did not end up overheated in the vats.

This Mosel Riesling Kabinett displays a light to medium lemon-yellow appearance typical of a young Riesling. Its nose is bright and inviting, with aromas of crisp green and yellow apples complemented by hints of cassis and honeyed notes, highlighting both fruit intensity and aromatic sweetness. On the palate, it is off-dry to lightly sweet, featuring a lively interplay of sugar and acidity with fresh orchard fruit flavors like apple and pear, all balanced by the region’s signature minerality. The finish is clean and refreshing, with lingering fruit and a harmonious balance between sweetness and zesty acidity. Alcohol by volume is 9%.
