Description
Chateau Roc De Levraut Bordeaux Supérieur
Château Roc de Levraut is a family-owned estate located in Sauveterre-de-Guyenne, in the Entre-Deux-Mers region of Bordeaux. The Ballarin family has cultivated these vineyards for three generations, growing from a small plot of white vines into a substantial producer of AOP Bordeaux Rouge and Bordeaux Supérieur. The estate holds Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE) certification, reflecting a long-standing commitment to environmentally responsible viticulture.
Vintage
The 2022 Bordeaux growing season was shaped by exceptional heat and very low rainfall. An early spring advanced the growing cycle, while a dry, intensely hot summer, with temperatures reaching record highs across the region, concentrated the fruit on the vine. Well-timed rainfall in late summer helped preserve freshness and balance before a warm, dry harvest window allowed growers to pick at optimal ripeness. The 2022 vintage is widely regarded as one of the finest in recent Bordeaux history, producing wines of deep color, ripe fruit, and surprising freshness.
Tasting
Deep in color with a nose of dark fruit, black cherry, currant, and plum, alongside notes of spice and toasted oak. The palate is full-bodied with ripe, well-integrated tannins and a smooth, lingering finish.
