The Wahluke Slope is a distinguished wine-growing region in central Washington, celebrated for its warm, dry climate and fertile soils. Encompassing approximately 81,000 acres, with around 8,931 acres under vine, it is one of the driest and warmest regions in the state, making it ideal for viticulture. With over 3,000 estate acres located on the Wahluke Slope AVA and Ancient Lakes of Columbia Valley AVA, and two state-of-the-art wineries, Milbrandt has the ability to be Washington State’s largest grape to table wine company.
Wahluke Slope
A sub-AVA of the greater Columbia Valley, the Wahluke Slope’s warm days and cool nights create ideal conditions for producing bold, concentrated red wines. Its fertile, well-drained soils and dry climate allow estate-grown fruit to ripen beautifully, yielding wines of exceptional depth and character.
