Marti Autentico Rum Dorado

Martí Plata and Martí Dorado are made by legendary distiller of custom quality rums, Ingenio Las Cabras, Republica de Panama. The production process is overseen by Carlos Esquivel, who controls the most important production details of Martí rums including growing the distillery’s own cane, using yeast isolated from the skin of pineapples grown on the estate and aging the rum in select American oak barrels previously used to mature bourbon.

As a relatively dry rum Martí Dorado serves as an excellent base for building classic rum cocktails. On the nose, notes of apple cobbler and baker’s spice are layered with brown sugar, cashew, and cherry, complemented by savory thyme, cinnamon, and a touch of coconut. The palate opens with rich crème brûlée and molasses, followed by dried apricot and pineapple, and a smooth French vanilla bean character reminiscent of toasted marshmallow. A subtle note of dry green olive adds complexity at midpalate, leading into a finish of peppery winter spice and a hint of mint.
