While living in fast-paced New York City, we found ourselves yearning to slow down and enjoy life with our loved ones in our hometown of Buffalo, New York. After nearly a decade away, we have returned to our roots to bring our passion for fine spirits and our quest to live in the moment with the people we care about to the banks of the Buffalo River. Only one barrel of this bourbon was produced. Hartman’s Distilling Company bourbon was first aged in a seasoned barrel that was heavy toasted and char #2. In June of 2025 the bourbon entered a freshly emptied madeira cask from Portugal. After spending twelve weeks in the Madeira cask the bourbon is aged for a total of four years and six months. Being a sweet madeira the tasting notes include raisin, salted caramel, and smoked maple syrup.
