Description
Tres Tribus Espadin Mezcal Ancestral
Tres Tribus takes its name from the three tribes that first settled the region, and reflects a mezcal-making tradition that demands time, wisdom, and patience. This small-batch artesanal mezcal is hand-crafted by fifth-generation mezcalero Juan Antonio Coronel in the remote mountains of Oaxaca. A descendant of the Zapotec and Mixtec people, Coronel carries forward mezcal-making secrets passed down through generations of his family. These time-honored techniques draw out pure, rich, and complex profiles from wild agave foraged in the region’s lush, pine-covered forests.
This special edition begins with a base of Espadín, distilled in clay pots using ancestral methods. Inspired by Día de los Muertos, the spirit is infused with ingredients commonly found in ofrendas, including marigold flower, mandarin, lime, and quince.
