Bakers Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Baker Beam was born with bourbon in his blood and raised on the grounds of the Jim Beam Distillery in Clermont, Kentucky  where he began his career. Baker started working as a night watchman during high school and did every job imaginable before working his way up to becoming Jim Beam’s distiller.

Never one for the spotlight, Baker was more comfortable with a wrench and a flashlight doing whatever it took to keep the bourbon flowing. When he retired after 38 years, he knew every square inch of the Beam distillery like the back of his hardworking hands. Named for a truck-driving, motorcycle-riding, bourbon-loving, hardworking whiskey man, Baker’s Single Barrel Bourbon is a singular experience. A big, bold bourbon that was created by one legend to honor another.

One thing that makes Baker’s unique is there’s not one particular location where it ages. With four campuses, a lot of differences can occur inside each barrel. For example, airflow, location of the rickhouse and dump date all play a part. Each barrel is tested. Only those that meet the highest quality standards are bottled

No two barrels of Baker’s are the same. Each is as unique as the man the bourbon is named for. Each barrel sits in its own unique place throughout our rickhouses, patiently aging for a minimum of seven years to extract the notes of vanilla trapped within the charred oak. And with Baker’s there’s no batching or mixing. Each bottle is filled from one singular barrel. Which means inside each bottle is a big, bold bourbon, full of tiny subtle details that change barrel to barrel.
