Cooperstown Distillery is the first and only distillery in beautiful Otsego County, home to the iconic National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. Drawing from the picturesque beauty and celebrated history of the region, it should come as no surprise that our truly unique, handcrafted spirits are inspired by the literature of James Fenimore Cooper, the beautiful crystal clear waters of our Lake ‘Glimmerglass’ and Cooperstown’s world famous reputation of honoring excellence. Worthy of carrying the distinguished Cooperstown name, our spirits are made to meet the highest of standards and are now recognized for being among the nation’s very best.

Cooperstown Distillery employs the highest quality artisanal distilling practices. Using almost entirely New York State grains, we produce a full line of spirits. We are a farm distillery and work to “know our farmers” to produce spirits made from select grains grown by people we trust and respect. Our custom-crafted stills are the focal point of our Railroad Avenue location. Here, you can enjoy the “grain to bottle” experience. You will witness the entire process, from the mash right through distillation and aging. Most notably, our award-winning, distinguished whiskeys are carefully matured on site in choice barrels, which further enhance their deep rich color and complex character. We then hand-bottle and hand-label our  nationally-recognized spirits.

A 100% New York State Straight Bourbon Whiskey produced from local grains, this masterfully-crafted bourbon is made from a proprietary four-grain mash bill of 65% corn, and 35% oats, rye, and barley. Bottled in a distinctive football-shaped decanter this whiskey is overflowing with copious notes of clove and allspice on the front end, finishing gently with hints of burnt caramel, butterscotch, and honey.
