Description
Copper & Cask Double Oak Elma Wine & Liquor Select Bourbon
We are thrilled to introduce our very first Copper & Cask Bourbon Selection. Distilled at MGP in Indiana, this bourbon spent most of its maturation aging in Kentucky before being finished for nearly two years in new American oak barrels with a Level 1 char. The result is a 9 year, 7 month Double Oak Bourbon bottled at a cask strength of 113.2 proof. The mash bill is 60% corn, 36% rye, and 4% malted barley.
This bottle also comes with a unique design on the back label, and a QR code to tasting notes/review by the Master Blender of Copper & Cask! Our own tasting notes are found below.
In the glass, it pours a deep, dark amber. The nose is immediately expressive with rich oak, layers of caramel, sweet baking spice, creamy vanilla, and a hint of fresh orange zest. The palate is bold, full bodied, and wonderfully viscous, delivering flavors of caramel, toasted oak, vanilla, warming spice, and mocha. The finish is exceptionally long, with lingering notes of seasoned oak, burnt sugar and orange peel that seem to go on forever.
