Doc Swinson’s Session Blend Straight Bourbon Whiskey
To open a bottle of Doc’s is to open curiosity.
What began as a bold experiment when we uncovered a cache of rare bourbon barrels has become an exploration spanning the globe to find just the right cask, blend, and maturation point. Doc’s is the flavor of far off lands and nearly forgotten traditions, blended with the familiarity of home. Like heirlooms and legends passed down from generation to generation, a bottle of Doc’s is brimming with the nuance and subtlety that only time and maturity can impart. Doc Swinson’s is on a mission to expand the world of American whiskey, celebrating curious things and curious people at every turn, and bringing you along on that journey of discovery.
Doc Swinson’s proudly calls Ferndale, Washington home. Tucked up in the far northwest corner of the country between the Cascade Mountains and the Salish Sea, on the wild yet mild Pacific Northwest coastline, the climate is reminiscent of Scotland: the misty motherland of whisk(e)y. This notable similarity gives the whiskey we finish and blend here a symphony of curious characteristics that distinguish it from whiskeys aged only in more typical North American climates.
Doc Swinson’s specializes in blends of high-proof whiskeys for the connoisseur at heart, but sometimes you just want to enjoy a great bourbon with friends and let the night continue as long as possible. This blend was made for those sessions, while only 90 proof it is bold enough to be mixed into your favorite drink yet smooth enough for you and your friends to enjoy right from the bottle.
Designed with classic whiskey cocktails in mind, this meticulously crafted blend of straight bourbon whiskeys that are a minimum of 5 years old will linger on the palate, bringing notes of vanilla, cracker jacks, cherries, and brown butter.
Here’s to your next session with friends.
