Description
Gran Coramino Añejo Tequila
Gran Coramino was founded in 2022 by Kevin Hart and Juan Domingo Beckmann, an eleventh generation tequila producer and CEO of Casa Cuervo, whose family has been making tequila since 1795. The two set out to build a tequila brand from the ground up, pairing Hart’s drive with Beckmann’s generations of expertise in agave spirits. Produced at the historic La Rojeña Distillery in Jalisco, Mexico, Gran Coramino is made from one hundred percent Blue Weber agave grown in the region’s volcanic soils.
The agave piñas are roasted in traditional brick ovens, then double distilled in copper pot stills to preserve the spirit’s character. For the Añejo expression, the tequila is aged for over a year in a combination of American and French oak, then blended with añejo reserves matured in ex cognac casks. That layered aging process is what sets this expression apart from the brand’s cristalino, giving it a depth and complexity built for sipping neat or dressing up a cocktail like an old fashioned or tequila manhattan.
