Shibui: [Adj] Understated Timeless Beauty ; [Slang] Old School Cool
For over 600 years, Okinawa has been home to the oldest distilled spirit in Japan. Made from the cereal of the land, Shibui Single Grain Whiskies are a celebration of this ancient spirit – each one exclusively distilled, matured and bottled in Okinawa. Our whiskies reflect the unmistakable style of each unique distillery and the exceptional Master Blenders who create them.
Shibui Whiskies are crafted by multiple award-winning whisky distilleries from two different regions of Japan, making our range of whiskies truly unique. Shibui World Blends showcase the art of Niigata Master Blenders who create exquisite marriages of flavor using multi-cask maturation. Shibui Single Grain whiskies are a reflection of the Japanese distilleries in Okinawa who distill the grains of the land and make whisky unlike any other.
Shibui Single Grain 18 Year Old Sherry Cask Japanese Whisky is distilled in a single, stainless-steel pot still using premium Indica Long Grain Rice. The product is then aged in ex-fino, Manzanilla Sherry Oak.
Shibui Single Grain 18 Year Old Sherry Cask Japanese Whisky presents a honey amber color with a red tint. Its aroma carries deep, earthy aromas and a hint of cardamom, all wrapped in a gentle oak presence. On the palate, a lively blend of baking spices, citrus zest, and tropical fruits unfolds, complemented by subtle layers of linseed oil, polished leather, and toasted sweetness.
