Taconic Distillery, founded in 2014 in New York’s Hudson Valley, handcrafts award-winning bourbon and rye whiskies in small batches using locally grown grains and natural spring water from its farm. Inspired by a love of hunting and fishing, the distillery infuses its spirits with an outdoor spirit, creating whiskies that are excellent for sipping or mixing into classic and signature cocktails. Taconic is also a proud member of the American Distilling Institute, the American Craft Spirits Association, and the New York Distillers Guild.

Taconic Distillery preserves the full flavor of its whiskey by avoiding chill filtration, a process that removes fatty flavor molecules for clarity but sacrifices depth of taste. Distilled below 160 proof to retain grain character, Taconic’s whiskey may occasionally appear slightly cloudy, evidence of its rich flavor profile. During aging, the spirit expands and contracts with temperature changes, pulling out complex compounds from the oak while the char layer softens or traps harsh elements, resulting in a whiskey that is bold, flavorful, and true to its natural character.
