Description
90+ Cellars Lot 239 Brunello di Montalcino
Brunello di Montalcino has long been considered one of the world’s great wines, and it was among the first to earn Italy’s highest DOCG classification. The town of Montalcino itself sits on a medieval Tuscan hilltop, ringed by some of Italy’s most celebrated vineyards, and that pedigree is exactly what 90+ Cellars sources from for this Collector Series lot. Lot 239 is extremely limited in production and retails for half its source price under the 90+ Cellars label, elegant, layered, and cellar-worthy, a can’t miss for any Sangiovese lover.
This wine is made from 100% Sangiovese, hand-harvested and carefully sorted before a two-week fermentation. From there it spends 24 months aging in large Slavonian oak barrels and another 18 months resting in bottle, a long, patient process that builds the deep, layered flavors and unmistakable elegance the wine is known for. The 2019 vintage pairs beautifully with a Florentine steak, roasted lamb chops, or aged Pecorino Toscano.
