While Napa Valley is best known for its Cabernet Sauvignon, this very limited production release shines a light on the region’s Cabernet Franc, a variety too often overlooked. Made from one hundred percent Cabernet Franc, this wine sells for over one hundred dollars a bottle under the source label. The grapes come from fifty five acres of vineyards in the heart of Oakville, planted in volcanic soil across an alluvial fan. A minimal, hands off approach to winemaking lets the true character of the varietal come through, resulting in a wine with elegant structure and vibrant freshness.
