Description
Bodegas Luzón Coleccion Blanco
Vinification and Aging:
The harvest is done mechanically in the early morning, to ensure that the grapes are at their freshest. The grapes are separated from the stalks immediately and, following a light pressing, the free-run juice is cold-settled and decanted prior to fermentation over 15 to 20 days at a controlled temperature of between 10 and 16°C, in order to conserve the fullness of the fruit.
This is a young white wine and its varieties are from our trellised vineyards which have an average age of 20 years, at altitudes reaching over 800 metres and chalky soils.
Bodegas Luzón Coleccion Blanco is a blend of Macabeo and Sauvignon Blanc grapes (50% each). This wine boasts a yellow color with green hints. Aromas of green apples and citrus blend with tropical fruit notes. Those same flavors continue on the palate, combined with a well balanced acidity and a persistent finish. Enjoy with all kinds of seafood, crustaceans seasoned with garlic and parsley, grilled or fatty fish made with soft sauces, duck or goose.
