Description
Cuvée Jean-Louis Brut Blanc de Blancs
The story of Charles de Fère is one of family legacy and a deep-rooted passion for the art of sparkling winemaking. Born into a long-established Champagne winegrowing family, Jean-Louis Denois founded his own sparkling winery in 1980 in the village of Fère-en-Tardenois, just outside the Champagne region northeast of Reims. Drawing on five generations of savoir-faire, his vision was to craft exceptional sparkling wines that transcended regional boundaries, sourcing grapes from northern vineyards for their freshness and elegance, and southern vineyards for ripe fruit and body. This bold, boundary-defying philosophy is what defines the house style to this day.
The Cuvée Jean-Louis is the crown jewel of the estate, a Brut Blanc de Blancs crafted from a thoughtfully selected blend of Airen, Ugni Blanc, Durello, and Chardonnay, with proportions adjusted each vintage to maintain a consistent, signature style. The wine undergoes temperature-controlled natural fermentation, followed by three months of aging on lees with daily stirring, lending it a refined texture and complexity. A Gold Medal recipient at the Global Sparkling Masters 2022 and a Silver Medal honoree at the Sakura Japan Women’s Wine Awards 2022, this is a wine that speaks to both tradition and global recognition.
Pair with fresh seafood, delicate fish dishes, white meats, or enjoy as the star ingredient in a classic Spritz cocktail. Best served between 6–8°C.
