Description
Dezzani Barbera D’Asti Superiore DOCG
The winery of Goy is located in Piedmont, in the northwestern corner of Italy. Piedmont was made famous for its production of Barolo and Barbaresco wines. Founded in 1934, Dezzani has spent over eight decades perfecting the art of Piedmontese winemaking, with a passion for Barbera that has been passed down through three generations of the family.
The “80 Anni” is a special release created to celebrate 80 years of production and commerce at this historic estate. A long-considered winemaking project launched with the 2011 harvest, this wine was conceived to capture nearly a century of tradition and the enduring love for Barbera, the iconic grape of Monferrato. Winemaker Luigi Dezzani oversaw every stage of its evolution with meticulous care, from fermentation through 24 months of ageing in historic large oak barrels, followed by an additional period of bottle refinement that transforms this wine into a true sensory experience.
Rich and generous on the palate, the “80 Anni” is a fitting tribute to a legacy built on quality and passion. Pair with classic Piedmontese dishes such as agnolotti del Plin, braised beef in Barbera, guanciale, or aged Castelmagno cheese.
