Description
Domain Lafond Tavel Rosé
The vineyard is rooted in three light, well-draining calcareous geological formations composed of fluvial sands and rolled pebbles, limestone pebbles with red clay, and red clay mixed with quartz pebbles. The climate is warm, Mediterranean, and notably windy, as Tavel lies along the axis of the Rhône Valley, benefiting from an average of 2,700 hours of sunshine per year. Harvest is carried out both mechanically and by hand with a focus on quality, ensuring that carefully sorted grape clusters arrive intact at the cellar to prevent any oxidation.
Vinification:
100% destemming, then 48-hour maceration between 8°C and 10°C, in order to obtain a more intense color, more aromas and more
Concentration. The following two steps are pressing and fermentation at low temperature (16 to 20°C) for 8 to 10 days.
