Familia Schroeder Saurus Pinot Noir
VINIFICATION
Maceration with whole grain for three cold days. Then eight days of fermentation and then four days of maceration at low temperature. Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks with selected enzymes and yeasts. Malolactic fermentation 60% in tanks (spontaneous) and 40% in barrels (with sowing).
AGING
40% stayed 9 months in French and American Oak barrels roasted half and half plus. The remaining 60% was stored in stainless steel tanks to preserve its fruity characters.
The Schroeder Family vineyards are located in the San Patricio del Chañar Valley, surrounded by the vast expanses of Argentine Patagonia. Characterized by strong winds and warm summer days with many hours of sunshine, this extreme terroir allows the obtaining of intense colors, complexity of aromas and outstanding levels of acidity that combine giving way to balanced and elegant wines. The delicate manual harvest, the aging in French and American oak barrels and the unfiltered bottling, ensure the permanence of a wide range of aromas and flavors.
