Description
Familia Vicente Pearce Cabernet Sauvignon
The Vicente and Pearce families came together when a girl from Mendoza, Argentina met a guy from Buffalo, New York. We started grape farming in 2011 with the purchase of the Azcuénaga Vineyard.
Our focus is on quality single-vineyard red wines that we love to drink and that reflect their origin here in Lunlunta. We are a very small family owned and operated business. We work with our small team to produce around 400 cases per year from the Azcuénaga Vineyard, planted mostly in 1990 at 2,800 feet above sea level in Lunlunta, Maipú in Mendoza, Argentina.
Familia Vicente Pearce Cabernet Sauvignon is aged for 28 months in French oak barrels and features a deep garnet color with a bright ruby rim. The nose is full of red currant, raspberry, ground black pepper and clove. The palate is nicely balanced between ripe cherry, raspberry, blackberry, berry compote and its structured tannins and medium acidity. The finish is clean with red berry fruit and vanilla notes.
