Description
Infamous Goose Sauvignon Blanc
New Zealand’s cool climate and diverse landscapes shape the distinctive character of this Sauvignon Blanc. Grapes are picked at optimal ripeness, destemmed, and the free-run juice is cool-fermented in stainless steel tanks. Four months of aging on the lees and in stainless steel tanks builds body and complexity before the wine is blended, fined, filtered and bottled.
The 2024 growing season was warm and dry, allowing for healthy, perfectly ripened bunches with intricate flavor development. Winemakers were able to harvest at exactly the right moment, and it proved to be a strong vintage across New Zealand’s wine growing regions. The fruit comes from cool-climate vineyards on both the North and South Islands, regions widely regarded as a benchmark for Sauvignon Blanc, and pairs beautifully with all types of seafood.
