Joey Tensley Fundamental Pinot Noir

Established in 1998, the first release of Tensley totaled just 100 cases. In 2015, our production reached 5,000 cases and included five single-vineyard Syrahs, the most in Santa Barbara County. Though we’ve grown in size, our philosophy has never changed, source the best fruit possible and let the vineyard speak for itself.

Bright ruby in the glass, the 2023 Fundamental Pinot Noir by Joey Tensley opens with inviting aromas of cherry, raspberry, and cranberry accented by rose petal, light spice, and a subtle earthy note. The palate is medium-bodied and expressive, showcasing vibrant red berry flavors layered with hints of cola and soft oak. Lively acidity and fine, supple tannins carry through to a smooth, balanced finish that lingers with fresh fruit and gentle spice.
