Description
Kate Arnold Wines Daffodil Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir
Daffodil Hill sits atop a picturesque site within the Eola-Amity Hills AVA of Oregon’s Willamette Valley, planted with the Dijon 667 clone across four acres on the mountain’s Dijon 114 block. The vineyard’s Jory soil gives the wine a luscious, juicy mid-palate with an abundance of purple floral character and ripe black cherry flavor, richer and weightier here than in other Eola-Amity Hills sites, while the acidity stays beautifully balanced throughout. The 2021 growing season brought extreme late-summer heat that pushed harvest earlier and shrank berry size, concentrating color and flavor while the acidity held its balance, a vintage defined by resilience and built for aging.
