Description
La Suffrene Tradition Rosé Bandol
Perched above the Mediterranean along the Provençal coast, La Suffrene crafts its Tradition Rosé from vines that soak up sun on clay and limestone soils, cooled by breezes rolling in from the nearby sea. The estate leans into thoughtful, biodiversity minded farming, including agroforestry practices woven through the vineyard to keep it resilient for years to come. As required within the Bandol appellation, every cluster is picked by hand, giving the team the chance to sort carefully and bring only the best fruit back to the cellar.
The blend comes together from 40% Mourvèdre, 30% Grenache, 20% Cinsault, and 10% Carignan. Grapes are pressed shortly after arriving at the winery, then the wine rests on its fine lees to build texture and finesse. Malolactic fermentation is intentionally blocked to hold onto its bright, youthful energy. After blending in early January and bottling in early March, the wine is ready to drink and built to hold its own for at least three years in the cellar.
