Alex Guarachi, owner of Guarachi Family Wines and founder of Guarachi Wine Partners, came to the United States from Chile on a soccer scholarship before an injury redirected his ambitions toward the wine industry. Recognizing an opportunity to introduce South American wines to Napa and Sonoma, he began importing Chilean wines, launching his business from his garage and singlehandedly managing every role as he built it into one of the leading importers and marketers of fine wines. Guarachi Wine Partners became one of the first importers of Chilean and Argentine wines, grew into the second largest importer of South American wines, and was named Importer of the Year by Wine Enthusiast in 2010. In 2007, Alex founded Guarachi Family Wines, focusing on limited-production Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, later expanding with the acquisition of esteemed estate vineyards. His journey reflects perseverance, entrepreneurship, and the realization of the American dream.

The nose is expressive and inviting, offering aromas of ripe blackberry, cassis, and dark cherry layered with notes of vanilla, cedar, and a touch of cocoa and baking spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied and richly textured, delivering concentrated flavors of black currant, plum, and mocha supported by structured yet supple tannins and balanced acidity. Subtle hints of toasted oak and dark chocolate add depth, leading to a long, smooth finish with lingering dark fruit and elegant spice.
