Lyric is 100% Pinot Noir with an elegant bouquet of fresh red berries and subtle oak. Its silky, balanced palate complements most dishes… or is just as easily enjoyed in a quiet moment.

With a devotion to elegance, terroir, and varietal expression, Lyric brings the unique flavors and textures of Monterey County to life.

Aged with 25% new French oak, Lyric shows beautiful notes of fresh, strawberry and raspberry structured by fine tannins. It’s elegant and bright, with perfectly balanced acidity, fruit, and oak. A silky mouthfeel and lingering finish complete this expression of a true Pinot Noir.

Winemaking

Hand-picked from two blocks in the coastal hillsides of Monterey County, Lyric takes full advantage of its natural surroundings when sourcing Pinot Noir. Monterey enjoys misty weather in the north and warm, sunny days in the south. This range of microclimates is the ideal condition for creating balanced and complex Pinot Noir. In addition, Monterey’s well-blended shale-type soil is key to growing deep roots that lock in nutrients and find water in dry conditions, helping vines produce small, healthy grapes and expressive wines.

Tasting

Lyric Pinot Noir features a garnet red color. Aromas fresh red berries and herbal undertones. Silky flavors of strawberry and raspberry are structured by well integrated tannins. Elegantly balanced with lingering cherry notes.
