Description
Taittinger Rosè Brut Champagne
The Taittinger family has managed the Champagne House for nearly a century. Its aim has always been the pursuit of excellence. “Having our family name on a bottle places demands and responsibilities on every minute. The name on the bottle conveys both the skills and knowledge of the past and a commitment to the future”. Pierre Emmanuel Taittinger has embodied this commitment for 40 years, and today he shares it with his son, Clovis and his daughter, Vitalie who both work beside him in the day to day running of the Champagne House. Together, they create a very close-knit and complementary family trio.
A champagne house’s style lies at the soul of its wines , taking its energy from its roots, its creativity and a legacy of knowledge. This underpins the strength and special composition of Taittinger champagnes. This composition is the result of a magical, intuitive and complex process, one which Pierre-Emmanuel, Clovis and Vitalie Taittinger know how to create and sustain, supported by a tasting panel formed from a rich pool of complementary talents.
Taittinger Prestige Rosé immediately stands out for its intense, shimmering hue, whose secret lies in the fact that it is a blend that is more complex and costly to produce. A quantity of still red wine (15%), produced from the best Pinot Noirs from Montagne de Reims and Les Riceys, is added to the final blend to give this cuvée its unmistakable colour and vibrant intensity on the palate. The high proportion of Chardonnay (30%) that completes the blend brings the elegance and delicacy that underpin Taittinger’s signature style. The intense and brilliant body is bright pink in color. The bubbles are fine and the mousse persistent. The full, wonderfully expressive nose is both fresh and young, giving off aromas of red fruits such as freshly crushed wild raspberry, cherry, and blackcurrant. On the palate, this wine strikes a fine balance between a velvety texture and full-bodied taste, with flavors reminiscent of fresh, crisp red fruits. The palate can be summed up in four words: lively, fruity, fresh, and elegant, as only a rosé blend can be.
Taittinger Prestige Rosé can be enjoyed both early on and at the end of an evening. Deliciously fragranced as an aperitif, it is also a subtle accompaniment to fruit desserts, including fruit tarts, fruit salads, and red fruit crumbles.
