Thierry Delaunay Le Grand Ballon Sauvignon Blanc
The owner of the Domaine Joël Delaunay and the Domaine de la Brossette in Touraine region, Thierry Delaunay was and is highly interested in the vinification of the Sauvignon Blanc, the internationally known grape variety that demands a high technical level and rigor to fully express their fresh and fruity flavors.
Vinification:
Selected by Thierry Delaunay from the finest cuvées of the Loire Valley, this Sauvignon Blanc is carefully assembled and matured on fine lees to express the richness and variety of Loire terroirs, bringing complexity, elegance, and finesse to the wine. Grapes are gently pressed, followed by temperature-controlled fermentation at 16°C in stainless steel tanks.
Ageing:
On fine lees in stainless steel tanks.
Tasting Notes:
Pale yellow with green tints, Le Grand Ballon shows an expressive nose of grapefruit, gooseberry, pear, fresh lime, and a subtle hint of tropical fruit. These bright fruit flavors continue onto a round, fleshy palate, framed by a delicate touch of sweetness, resulting in a soft, aromatic, and perfumed Sauvignon Blanc.
