Description
FAIR Quinoa Vodka
FAIR Quinoa Vodka is the original creation that put the brand on the map. Distilled in Cognac, France, it holds the distinction of being the world’s first vodka made from quinoa, a grain farmed for over 5,000 years by the Incas in the Andes mountains of Bolivia. Organic and Fair Trade certified, it is the result of a collaboration between French distillers and Bolivian farmers, with the quinoa grown at over 13,000 feet in elevation in volcanic soils before making its way to Cognac for production.
Once the quinoa arrives, it is brewed by a micro-brewer into a 5.5% quinoa mash, then distilled in a single column still together with organic, non-GMO corn alcohol. The process is as clean and thoughtful as the sourcing, yielding a vodka that is full and delicate in style, with a mineral character that reflects those high-altitude volcanic origins. It is the kind of spirit that rewards attention, layered enough to sip and balanced enough to anchor a cocktail, including the house signature, the Andean Mule.
