Description
Chattanooga Bottled In Bond Whiskey
Chattanooga Whiskey was founded in 2011 by Chattanooga native Tim Piersant with the aim of reviving whiskey production in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where distilling had been absent for over a century. Inspired by the city’s rich 19th-century distilling heritage, Piersant and his team successfully lobbied changes to state law and by 2015 had opened their first distillery downtown, making it the only standalone “Experimental Distillery” of its kind in the country.
The company developed a unique Tennessee High Malt style, built new large-scale production facilities, and released a series of innovative expressions including the “Experimental Single Batch Series”, “91”, “Cask 111”, and a Bottled-in-Bond Vintage Series. Their goal has been to push craft whiskey boundaries by experimenting with malts, yeasts, barrels, and finishes.
