Description
Anthill Farms Winery White Wine Helluva VYD
Anderson Valley is one of California’s most compelling appellations for aromatic white wines, where cool Pacific air funnels through the coastal ranges to create a growing season defined by bright acidity and expressive fruit. This single vineyard white wine comes from a small block at Helluva Vineyard in Boonville, farmed using practicing organic methods and crafted with minimal intervention at Anthill Farms Winery.
A co-fermented blend of 65% Pinot Gris, 25% Pinot Noir, and 10% Gewurztraminer, all picked and pressed together for white wine, this is a genuinely unique and thoughtfully made bottling. Fermented with ambient yeast and aged for 8 months across stainless steel, neutral puncheons, and neutral oak barrels, the wine undergoes full malolactic fermentation and is bottled with just 20 ppm SO2. Only 270 cases were produced.
This wine leaps out of the glass with a wide range of delightful aromas and flavors. The Gewurztraminer lends floral lift and spice, the Pinot Gris brings structure and stone fruit, and the co-fermented Pinot Noir adds a subtle textural depth that makes this blend wholly its own. Bright, fresh, and elegantly focused, it is a wine that rewards attention.
