Description
Weingut Fürst Sommerwein
The Obermosel is the southernmost stretch of the Mosel river, tucked south of the Saar near the Luxembourg border. Just next door lies the Sauer Valley, home to the small family estate of Michael Fürst, one of the last remaining wineries in the area. The Fürst family has been farming this land since the 13th century, and Michael now carries on the winemaking tradition as the third generation to run the estate. Working from slopes of limestone soil, he crafts a range of light, easygoing whites and reds using sustainable viticulture.
The Sommerwein is made from Rivaner, also known as Müller-Thurgau, fermented and aged in steel tank for six months to preserve its fresh, fruit-forward character. It’s a wine built for easy, warm-weather drinking, reflecting the same lively spirit that defines the rest of the Fürst portfolio.
